TOP-HALF MACHINE REBUILDS SAVE TIME & MONEY
A Top-Half Machine Rebuild of your die cast machine offers significant time & cost savings. The customer will experience less downtime as the base of the machine does not have to be removed and shipped and there is ultimately less rebuild time involved. In addition, shipping only the top-half of the machine results in lower freight costs.
A typical Top-Half Machine Rebuild includes the following work:
- Disassemble top-half of machine and pressure wash all parts.
- Inspect parts for excessive wear or cracks.
- Clean-up tie bars and chase threads.
- Resurface platens and re-cut counterbores.
- Clean-up threaded sleeves if applicable to machine rebuild type.
- Rebore linkage and crosshead to original OEM center-to-center; clean out all lube holes.
- Manufacture new pins and bushings; pins will be heat treated and ground.
- Manufacture tie bar bushings and ejector plate bushings.
- Repack cylinders supplied which could include shot cylinder, closing cylinder or ejector cylinder; cylinder tubes will be honed.
- Install new aluminum bronze or heat-treated steel bushings.
- Safety wire linkage.
- Rebuild or remanufacture guide tube, guide tube shaft and guide tube bushings; guide tube, guide tube shaft and guide bars will be hard chrome plated.
- Grind rails; manufacture new shoes or insert shoes.
- Install wipers.
