NEW OR REBUILT LINKAGE / TOGGLE / KNUCKLES
A Plus Machine can manufacture new crosshead and linkage/toggle/knuckle packages from one link to the complete linkage/toggle/knuckle system including crosshead. We can manufacture to an in-house print or the customer's print or we can manufacture from the existing customer linkage/toggle/knuckle component parts sent to our facility.
Another option for the customer is a linkage/toggle/knuckle package rebuild or remanufacture which includes the following work completed at our facility:
- Bore crosshead and linkage/toggle/knuckles to re-establish original pin and bearing positions.
- Manufacture new hardened & ground pins and bearings to match OEM material type.
- Manufacture thrust washers if required.
- Machine mounting faces on linkage/toggle/knuckles.
- Repair oscillating faces of links as required.
- Deburr all mating surfaces and bearing journals.
- Clean out all lube holes.
- Install bearings.
- Test lube passages are open to bearings.
- Assemble linkage/toggle/knuckle components.
- Paint crosshead and linkage/toggle/knuckle package.
